Jason Asbury is active as a conductor and organist in the New York City metropolitan area. He currently serves as Associate Head of School at Saint Ann's School in Brooklyn where he has served on the music faculty since 1998.  He is Music Director of Grace Chorale of Brooklyn, an 85-member community chorus.  

Mr. Asbury served as Director of Music at Prospect Presbyterian Church in Maplewood, New Jersey for seventeen years.  In that capacity, he co-founded Voices In Harmony, based in Maplewood, that uses choral music to bring together people from multicultural and ecumenical backgrounds. He founded the Essex County Choral Festival called Sing Out! in Newark, New Jersey to expand the vision of Voices In Harmony to a county-wide effort. Mr. Asbury has a strong interest in multicultural communities and the role that music plays within those communities.

He has served as assistant conductor of the Summit Chorale at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey, accompanist for the Brooklyn Youth Chorus, president of the Presbyterian Association of Musicians and has served on numerous non-profit boards and advisory panels for the arts and sacred music.  

Mr. Asbury holds degrees from DePauw University-Bachelor of Music, Westminster Choir College-Master of Music, and Graduate Theological Foundation-Doctor of Sacred Music.
